East Baton Rouge DA opens criminal investigation into alleged rape by LSU football player
The East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office has opened a criminal investigation into an alleged sexual assault that reportedly occurred on LSU's campus in October 2025. An LSU student publicly identified herself and alleged in a September TikTok video that she was raped by a current member of the LSU football team. According to the student, the player was initially suspended for a year following her report to the university, but after a successful appeal his punishment was reduced to probation and he was permitted to return to campus and the team. LSU President Wade Rousse told NBC News that the university is cooperating with investigators.
